Visit the Antietam Battlefield during the 150th anniversary of the Civil War

Some seats still remain for the Club’s annual Civil War battlefield trip, taking place this year to Antietam National Battlefield in Maryland on Saturday, June 2. To make a reservation, contact Richard Meyer of the Travel Committee at 703-356-6884.

There is no charge, but Club members are limited to one guest each. Lunch will be provided, courtesy of the Civil War Trust as part of its long-standing reciprocal arrangement with the Club.

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Antietam, which took place on Sept. 17, 1862. It was the deadliest one-day battle in U.S. history.

The bus will depart from the Club at 9 a.m. and will return at approximately 5 p.m.
