"The Hunters" is a military thriller set in Somalia. The fictional story takes readers into the dangerous zone following a recurrent character Michael Parsons, now a colonel, and a friend who decide to fly relief supplies into lawless Somalia. The presence of a Hollywood celebrity and activist complicates the situation for Parsons and his companion, who are already going against an al-Shabaab leader's edict by showing up with aid in the first place.

Young served in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of the West Virginia Air National Guard and has worked as a journalist for the Associated Press and as a commercial pilot. He has written both fiction and non-fiction books about the military. "The Hunters" is his eighth.

This event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit National Press Club Journalism Institute. No outside books or memorabilia are permitted.
