U.S. Army Korea expert plans to discuss U.S.-South Korea alliance at Legion Post 20 meeting Jan. 28
Col. Seung Joon "Steve" Lee (U.S. Army, ret.) plans to discuss the Korea Defense Veterans Association (KDVA) and the U.S.-South Korea alliance at the next meeting of American Legion Post 20.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 28, in the McClendon Room at the National Press Club. All Press Club members are invited.
Lee is KDVA's senior vice president for operations. A West Point graduate, his experience includes service as an Army Foreign Area Officer (FAO), and he's also served with the 101st Airborne Division and the 2nd Infantry Division. Among other accomplishments, Col. Lee led a team responsible for managing the continued implementation of the 1953 Korean Armistice Agreement, to include negotiating with the North Korean People's Army.
This will be a hybrid meeting, with a Zoom component for those who live outside the DC area or who cannot get to the Press Club. The Zoom link is posted below.
To facilitate the luncheon meeting, those who attend in person are asked to use the buffet rather than making individual orders, and to bring $30 in cash to cover the buffet lunch, tax, and tip. The cash will be collected to pay for the luncheon in one bill.
