Today: American Legion Post 20 marks 250th anniversary of U.S. Navy

Today's meeting of American Legion Post 20 looks ahead to the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy.

The luncheon meeting takes place at noon in the Reliable Source's McClendon Room at the National Press Club. Dale Eng with the Communication and Outreach Division of the Naval History and Heritage Command plans to speak at the luncheon meeting.

This is a hybrid meeting, with a Zoom component for those who live outside the D.C. area or who cannot get to the Press Club. Get the Zoom link here.

Post 20 has been affiliated with the National Press Club for more than a century. The post was formed at the urging of famed World War I General John J. Pershing, who was an associate member of the club at the time. All Press Club members are invited to Post 20 meetings.

Please note a change in policy from previous luncheon meetings: Attendees pay for their lunches individually. However, to make this easier for Reliable Source staff, attendees are asked to use the buffet rather than ordering a la carte from the menu.
