Tickets still available for Journalism Awards dinner, Aug. 27
Tickets are still available for the National Press Club’s 52nd annual Journalism Awards dinner, honoring outstanding work produced in 2024 by professional journalists, to be held at the Club on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m.
The dinner will recognize winners in 15 award categories. This year’s honorees offered deeper insight into some of the most widely covered events of the year, brought critical self-reflection to the forefront, and demonstrated how investigative journalism continues to be a powerful force for change.
Tickets are $75 for the general public and $65 for National Press Club members and can be purchased online.
Besides the 15 award winners, the Club will honor. Dong Yuyu, a respected editor and columnist who has been imprisoned in Beijing since February 2022, with its President’s Award. Dong’s son, Yifu, will accept the award and deliver remarks.
The dinner also will honor news outlets from across the country, ranging from small newsrooms to major international organizations
The evening will begin with a 6 p.m. reception in the Holeman Lounge, followed by dinner and the awards program at 7 p.m. in the Ballroom
