At Taco Night Friday, you can show support for journalists experiencing job transition

Come on out to Taco Night Friday, March 6, and show your support for journalists who have recently lost their jobs through layoffs or corporate restructuring. The ones of those who have signed up for a complimentary three-month guest membership at the National Press Club will be our guests.

The Club has extended a special invitation to these guest members for the weekly Taco Night in the Reliable Source, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. — one of our most popular member traditions — to foster connection, camaraderie and professional support.

“Members who would like to offer encouragement, expand their networks, or share leads and opportunities are encouraged to attend and join us in welcoming these colleagues,” Club President Mark Schoeff Jr. said. “We are proud to support our journalism community and to offer the Club as a place of connection and resilience during times of change.”

Individuals must be enrolled in the program to attend Taco Night as our guests for the evening. Regular members, come enjoy tacos and lend an ear and extend a hand to our guests. As always, the tacos are free with the purchase of a minimum of two beverages during the hours the taco buffet is operating.
