Supporting journalists in transition: Taco Night, March 6

The National Press Club will host at Taco Night on Friday, March 6, Washington-area journalists affected by layoffs in 2026 who have become Club guest members.

The Club is extending support to recently laid off journalists through a complimentary three-month guest membership, providing access to community, professional resources and the Clubhouse during a period of transition.

On March 6 from 5:30–7:30 p.m., the Club extends a special invitation to these guest members for Taco Night at the Reliable Source — one of our most popular member traditions — to foster connection, camaraderie, and professional support.

“Members who would like to offer encouragement, expand their networks, or share leads and opportunities are encouraged to attend and join us in welcoming these colleagues,” said Club President Mark Schoeff Jr. “We are proud to support our journalism community and to offer the Club as a place of connection and resilience during times of change.”

Enrollment for the three-month guest membership remains open through March 6. Individuals must be enrolled in the program to attend Taco Night as our guests for the evening. Come enjoy tacos on the Club!
