Scholarship Team seeks judges for Fall 2024 Lewis Scholarship applicants
The National Press Club Scholarships Team is recruiting working journalists to help judge applications for the Fall 2024 Lewis Scholarship.
Judging will be conducted virtually via Zoom over a two-hour period the morning of Saturday, Aug. 3. Judges will review application materials the week prior to the Aug. 3 meeting, then rank candidates as a group that day.
The Lewis Scholarship provides free housing and a monthly stipend to support student journalists of color who plan to intern at news media outlets in Washington, D.C. — an estimated value of $10,000. The scholarship is awarded to one undergraduate student journalist of color each fall, spring, and summer semester.
If you'd like to be a judge, contact Scholarship Team co-chairs Erin Looney ([email protected]) and Caitlin Mullaney ([email protected]) to volunteer.
