Prostate Cancer Foundation seeks correspondent to cover cancer research enterprise

The Prostate Cancer Foundation is seeking a world-class correspondent to cover the prostate cancer research enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have a sharp journalistic instinct and be able to easily identify stories for a diverse range of audiences, including researchers, donors, patients and caregivers. Reporting to the senior vice president of communications, the correspondent will work on an enterprise-wide basis, also working directly with PCF’s president and CEO, chief scientists and related department staffers.

The candidate should have five to eight years of related journalistic experience and be adept at boiling down the issues and demystifying deep science, as needed, for lay audiences. Candidates with less experience but who can “walk on the journalistic waters” will be considered.

For a complete description of the job, e-mail Dan Zenka, senior vice president, communications, at [email protected]. No phone calls please. People who apply for this position will be asked to please send a cover letter, resume and two or three writing samples.
