Press Club award recognizes best coverage of defense, aerospace, airline industry

Journalists who write about aerospace, defense and the airline industry should enter their best work for 2014 to compete for the Michael A. Dornheim Award.

This award is presented in celebration of the career of the late Michael A. Dornheim, a longtime reporter and editor at Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine.

Contestants can offer up to six examples of their work for print or online. The prize for the winning entry is $1000.

The deadline to submit entries is April 1, and the contest is open to Press Club members and non-members. Offering entries is free for NPC members, and costs $50 for non-members. The winner will be honored at a banquet at the National Press Club this summer.

Entries may be submitted online or by mail. For more information about the awards, which include competition for breaking news, photos, politics, animal issues, press coverage, consumer news and online coverage, click here.
