Marianne Williamson, seeking the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, spoke at a National Press Club Newsmaker event on Oct. 24, 2019. Ms. Williamson outlined her proposal to create a cabinet-level U.S. Department of Peace, that she said would contain both domestic and international elements, and be designed to create and enhance conflict resolution efforts on multiple levels.
