Photographer To Demonstrate Producing Panoramic Images at 12:30 pm Event, March 19.

Abbas Shirmohammadi, well-known Washington photographer whose stunning panoramic images are currently on display in the National Press Club lobby, will speak at an event sponsored by the Photo Committee, at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, March 19 in the Zenger Room.

Club members and their guests are invited. There is no charge and no reservations are needed.

The photos currently being shown in the lobby portray large crowds at several Presidential inaugurations in incredible detail. They were recently donated to the Club by Shirmohammadi. He will discuss how he takes these photographs and demonstrate the 360 degree cameras that he uses.

Shirmohammadi was born in Iran and moved to the U.S. in 1978. Photography is a tradition in his family; he is a fourth generation photographer. He has covered every Presidential inaugural since Ronald Reagan's as well as political conventions and other large events. In addition, he has done many portraits, including of Hillary Clinton and Nelson Mandela.

The McClendon Room will be available starting at noon for attendees who would like to have a quick lunch before the presentation.
