Photo Team plans to meet Thursday at 5 p.m. to kick off annual exhibit tasks, discuss new rules
The National Press Club's Photo Team holds its next meeting on Thursday, May 14, at 5 p.m. in the McClendon Room to start work on this year's members photo exhibit.
RSVPs for both in-person and online participants -- the meeting is open to all NPC members -- are requested through the Club's dining reservations system or by email to [email protected].

The Photo Team has few purely business meetings, but this one is important. The team plans to make key decisions on the 27th Annual Members Photography Exhibit, scheduled for September in the Club's main lobby. This year, the exhibit will operate under new set of ground rules and participants will hear about those new rules at the meeting.
The annual members photo exhibit is the Photo Team's signature event, and among the Club's most participative activities. In the past few years, the exhibit attracted at least 50 participants and some 200 digital images and print photos. Plus, many Club members from outside the Washington, D.C., area take part in the exhibit each year. It has been a mainstay of Club activities since 1999, and one of the few functions that continued (in online form) during the shutdowns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
At this meeting the Team aims to recruit NPC members to carry out the operations for putting on the exhibit, and if time permits, decide a theme for the show. This year, tasks include finding a new photo library service to display images and an online package to design the entry form and capture data from that form.
If Club members want to help with this year's photo exhibit, but cannot take part in the May 14 meeting, contact Photo Team chair Alan Kotok at [email protected].
