Photo Team now accepting entries for National Press Club's 24th annual members exhibit

National Press Club members can again display their best digital and print photography in the Club's main lobby during September. The NPC Photography Team is now accepting entries for this year's members photo exhibit.

Full instructions and specifications are now available online. The Photo Team this year streamlines participation in the exhibit, with a single and simplified entry form. Entries will be accepted during Aug. 1 through Aug. 18.

The 24th annual celebration of visual storytelling is an exhibit, not a contest. No judges evaluate your work, nor are any prizes awarded. Club members can enter up to four digital images and two print photos for the show. Digital images are displayed on big screen monitors in continuous slideshows, along with print photos mounted on fabric display panels, starting Aug. 31. An online exhibit catalog presents images and photos entered by each participant. The exhibit ends Friday, Sept. 29.

The Photo Team asks members to enter their best digital images and photos -- please select ones that have not been shown in previous years -- either recent shots or from earlier, in color or black-and-white. Entries can be related to your work or from travels and local experiences, that capture important moments, people or events. Plus, entries can show colors or perspectives not often found in everyday photos, or display a story you captured at the right place and right time.

The exhibit specifications include instructions for mounting and delivery of print photos.

Digital images and print photos are accepted from NPC members only, not work associates or family members. But members can bring colleagues and family to see the exhibit in the main Club lobby during September.

Last year's exhibit set a record for participation with 219 digital images and photos from 59 NPC members. Here's the exhibit catalog.

Make plans to attend the exhibit's gala opening reception on Wednesday, Sept. 6. More details about the reception will be available as the date approaches.
