Oktoberfest buffet, Pub Quiz highlight Reliable Source's October schedule
In addition to the regular offerings for lunch, bar and dinner in the National Press Club's Reliable Source restaurant, there are two special events already on the calendar for October. And note that both are early in the month.
- Thursday, Oct. 9 -- NPC Pub Quiz Night, 7 p.m., Truman Lounge
- Thursday, Oct. 16 -- Oktoberfest buffet with music, 5:30 p.m., special music begins at 6 p.m.
Members are invited to take part in the member offerings in the Reliable Source's, ranging from monthly themed buffet dinners, wine dinners, and Scotch/Bourbon tasting dinners, to Friday nights’ popular Taco Night and weekday mornings’ signature breakfasts, including the complimentary Members’ Breakfast.
A carefully curated wine list is designed to complement your meals.
Club members’ team meetings and other gatherings are hosted here, ensuring there is always something happening at the Club and in the Reliable Source.
On Sept. 18, Club members and their guests enjoyed a wonderful Prime Rib dinner featuring a bountiful spread of prime rib, salads, starches, alternative meat selections, a vegetable platter and an extensive dessert station.
Throughout the evening, members took the time to share their compliments and appreciation for the event. Live music by popular accordionist Russell Wilson was an accompaniment in the room filled with excitement and joy. Two members celebrated their birthdays that night.

Robert Weiner shared his appreciation for the way the accordion player and restaurant staff helped sing “Happy Birthday” for his wife Pat and the other celebrant: "This was great—you really made us happy. Thank you for the excellent dinner and outstanding service."

Kitty Eisele, who celebrated with a party of four, remarked: "It was fabulous and beautiful. We enjoyed everything tonight. We’ll definitely be back."
