NPCJI seeks Club members for Training Advisory Group
The National Press Club Journalism Institute is recruiting Club members who are passionate about professional development to join its 2026 Training Advisory Group. The group will meet monthly to share ideas and connections for potential speakers and instructors for Institute programs.
This will be a core group of five to seven members across different professional backgrounds who will commit to attending and sharing ideas each month. Monthly virtual meetings will take place midday on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
Club members interested in joining the group can apply for consideration using this link. The monthly brainstorming sessions will remain open to all Club members who wish to drop in, too.
“We’re thrilled to continue working with Club members to deliver professional development offerings that will help journalists and communicators meet the moment and face the growing list of challenges they face on a day-to-day basis,” said Elliot C. Williams, NPCJI’s training manager. “Powerful ideas don’t happen in a vacuum — we’re relying on Club members’ wealth of experience to make great things happen in 2026.”
The NPCJI, the Club’s nonprofit affiliate, coordinates and delivers career and professional development programming at the National Press Club and through virtual convenings. In 2025, the Institute delivered more than 35 unique training opportunities, partnered with global design platform Canva to create an e-learning series, and published dozens of Q&As with industry experts in its newsletter, The Latest.
