NPC members can get discount for Kennedy Center opera performance Saturday

NPC members can get a discount to a matinee performance of opera singer Susan Graham Saturday, Feb. 4, at 3 p.m. at the Kennedy Center's Concert Hall. Tickets are only $10 per person.

“The Met” in New York City is this mezzo soprano’s operatic home, and she has performed at the world’s top opera houses, including the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden in London where she made her international debut in 1994, Milano’s La Scala, Madrid’s Teatro Real, and many others in Paris, Sydney, Amsterdam and Vienna. You may have seen her at the nationally televised Boston funeral service of Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., where in front of President Obama and former presidents Bush, Clinton and Carter she sang “Ave Maria.''
