Last LuauMcCullough is a public-relations specialist advising Fortune 250 companies on strategic communications and positive employee relations. He completed The Last Luau during the pandemic. He lives in Huntsville, Alabama.

Set on the eve of the Pearl Harbor attack, the novel introduces Mac Ross, a Honolulu private eye.

After a night of frivolity, ending at a friends wedding luau, Ross awakens late on the morning of Dec. 7 to learn that a beloved Japanese-American teacher has been killed in an execution-style murder, and hundreds more islanders lie dead from a Japanese surprise attack.

Dogged by threats to his life and the Hawaiian woman he loves, Mac Ross struggles to solve a murder the authorities don’t seem to care about. The closer Ross gets to finding answers, the greater the danger, until he is lured into a nighttime firefight against a gang of hired gunmen and an eventual face-to-face with the ultimate betrayal.
