New Club member invites submissions on food and making connections for anthology

A National Press Club member who joined Jan. 29, Lynne Golodner, invites fellow members to contribute to an anthology she plans to publish in January 2027.

The deadline for submission to When We Gather To Eat: An anthology of hunger, heritage & healing is April 1.

Golodner is a journalist, author and publisher who founded her own press, Scotia Road Books, in 2023 for "rebel authors who want to do things differently and don’t want to conform to other people’s standards that drive the publishing industry."

She's seeking "creative nonfiction essays, short stories, flash and poetry that explore the role of food in identity, belonging and community, in meaning-making and connecting people. We welcome submissions from both emerging and established writers."
