Member Sarah Gray wins 2012 Cicero Speechwriting Award

NPC Member Sarah Gray and colleague Rachel Crowell co-wrote a speech that won the 2012 Cicero Speechwriting Award for Best-Written Speech by a non-profit organization.

The Cicero Speechwriting Awards honor speechwriters for their contribution to the public conversation. Judged by experts in communication and rhetoric, the Cicero Speechwriting Awards celebrate all aspects of an unforgettable speech: style, substance, coherence and humanity.

The winning speech is entitled “A Wounded Iraq War Veteran's Journey through Failure and Success.” It was delivered by David Kendrick at the East Region National Council of Work Centers Annual Conference in Providence, Rhode Island on Oct. 26, 2011.
