Legends of Broadcast dinner Nov. 15 features ABC's Ann Compton

ABC News veteran Ann Compton will be the National Press Club Broadcast & Podcast Team's newest guest at is series of "Legends of Broadcast" dinners. These limited-access informal events allow NPC members and their guests to hear the honoree's remarks and participate in an intimate Q&A.

Ann ComptonCompton's distinguished career includes 41 years on the air at ABC, much of that time at the White House, spanning 10 presidential campaigns and seven presidents. She has earned a fellowship at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and did a stint at the Miller Center for Presidential Studies in Virginia.

She has been president of the White House Correspondents' Association and chairman of the Radio-TV Correspondents' Association, which governs operations of the broadcast galleries on Capitol Hill.

A cash bar reception will begin at 6 p.m., with introductions and dinner following at 6:45 p.m. in the Fourth Estate Winners Room. The guest of honor will make remarks and then open the floor to an informal Q&A session to end by 8:30 p.m.

Cost of the three-course dinner with 2 glasses of wine is $70 for Club members.
