Keep in mind reciprocal Club memberships when traveling, nearby and abroad

One of the member benefits of the National Press Club is the opportunity to visit and use the facilities at nearly 70 reciprocal clubs located in cities across the U.S. and abroad.

In fact, one such arrangement is quite nearby. The Press Club has a summer reciprocity with the Cosmos Club that runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This recent story in The Wire highlights a visit to the Club by Cosmos members.

If you intend to visit a reciprocal club, notify the NPC Membership Department ([email protected]), specify the club you hope to visit and your planned dates. A letter of introduction will be sent on your behalf. The reciprocal club may request additional information before confirming your request.

Study this list of the reciprocal clubs and find out if one exists in your destination city or nearby. Or plan a trip based on the availability. And when you visit, take notes and photos, if allowed, then file a report to The Wire to share your experience with other Club members who may be thinking of dropping in on the club you just visited.
