Journalists Bill, Willie Geist to share stories of their father-son relationship at Book Rap June 5
The talented father-son team of Bill Geist (of "CBS News Sunday Morning") and Willie Geist (of "Morning Joe" and the "Today" shows) will share stories of their funny, heartwarming relationship described their book, "Good Talk, Dad: The Birds and the Bees...and Other Conversations We Forgot to Have" at a National Press Club Book Rap Thursday, June 5, at 2 p.m. in the Ballroom.
The book, written in a unique back-and-forth banter style, is an extended conversation that riffs on everything from music and sports to summer camp, driving lessons, family life and other mandatory father-son topics.
After Bill went public with his struggles with Parkinson's disease, the Geists decided to collaborate on the book so their children and grandchildren would have a record of their unique bond.
Registration is required by clicking here.
The event, a fundraiser for the National Press Club Journalism Institute, is open to National Press Club members for $5 and to non-members for $10. The admission fee is waived when Club members pre-order a copy of the book, an option available on the ticket form. Books must be purchased through the NPC. No outside books or memorabilia permitted.
