International correspondents visit Australian embassy

The embassy of Australia was the site of the National Press Club's latest Embassy Night, held on Sept. 5.

Kevin Rudd, a former Australian prime minister who has served as ambassador since March 2023, described the newly inaugurated embassy as representative of the spirit of Australia, including by showcasing its indigenous traditions and architectural excellence. He also spoke about his country's culture, heritage, history and strong democratic values 

The International Correspondents Team, which sponsored the event, gave Rudd an official NPC mug and a copy of "Tales from the National Press Club."

The event continued with discussions on a wide range of issues among  Club members, Rudd and Australian diplomats.
