Institute moves to July 9 virtual office hour for job seekers
The National Press Club Journalism Institute has rescheduled for noon, Wednesday, July 9, a small group virtual conversation for job seekers.
This “office hour” style session will take place via Zoom and focus on job search strategies and tools for sharpening application materials like cover letters and resumes.
The free session — one of several for job-seekers planned through the end of the year — will be a mix of advice and community building. Register online.
“The job turbulence journalists are experiencing right now is disheartening, but we don’t have to go through this alone,” said Beth Francesco, executive director for the Institute. “Yes, journalism can be a competitive field. But we share the challenges and can support each other through difficult times.”
Join the Institute for facilitated career-oriented conversations and to find community with other journalists and media professionals.
