The National Press Club Journalism Institute invites you to a reception in recognition of World Press Freedom Day: A moment to celebrate the essential role of a free press and to stand in clear-eyed solidarity with journalists around the world.

This year, we come together with both pride and urgency. Across the globe and here at home, journalists are doing extraordinary work under increasing pressure — facing threats, arrests, restrictions, and a rapidly shifting information landscape. Yet, every day, they continue to report, investigate, and inform their communities with courage and integrity.

This reception is an opportunity to pause and recognize that work — to connect with colleagues, partners, and advocates committed to press freedom — and to reaffirm our shared responsibility to support and protect it.
