The National Press Club Independent Writers Group will take a deep dive into best practices for email marketing at the group’s virtual monthly meeting, Dec.14.
Speaking to the group via Zoom will be MailChimp accredited expert Annie Schiffman. Schiffman will provide advice on the production of high-quality email that users are likely to open and read, how to build relevant opt-in email lists, and other how-tos common to most email delivery services.
Schiffman is the author of "Simplify Your Social Media." She provides professional email and social media services through her company, Downstage Media.
The Independent Writers Group focuses on the business of book publishing. Whether they plan to self-publish or publish traditionally, email has become an important channel for authors seeking to draw attention to their work.
The Group meets on Zoom the third Thursday of the month from 9:30 to 11 p.m. EDT, and is open to all National Press Club members who have written or are planning to write fiction or non-fiction. There is no charge for these events.
