Herb Jackson appointed Club treasurer

The National Press Club Board of Governors has appointed board member Herb Jackson to serve as treasurer for the remainder of the current term. Jackson has served on the budget committee for many years and was chair of the Board of Governors, experience that will be valuable in overseeing the Club’s finances.

The appointment followed the board’s declaration of a vacancy in the treasurer’s office, after notice of resignation by the previous treasurer. This action was a matter of governance and process under the NPC Constitution and Bylaws. 

The board also expressed its sincere appreciation to Poonam Sharma for her dedicated service as treasurer and a member of the Board of Governors, and for her exemplary contributions to the National Press Club community.
