Headliners becomes a Board committee, seeks new members
The National Press Club is now accepting applications for the 2026 Headliners Committee.
"Over the past year, the Headliners series has hosted insightful conversations, generated news, and even inspired action from the White House," said Club President Mark Schoeff Jr. "This success reflects the consistent efforts of Club members and volunteers who have helped shape the program over several years."
To build on that momentum, the Board of Governors has approved a transition of the Headliners Team into a formal Committee of the Board. This new structure will elevate the visibility of the series and increase engagement from elected leadership in shaping future programming.
The Committee will include Board members, as well as appointed Club members who will continue to play an important role in developing and advancing Headliners programs.
If you are interested in serving, we encourage you to apply. The application deadline is Wednesday, April 8.

The Headliners series has become a cornerstone of the Club’s identity — advancing its mission, engaging members, and elevating the Club’s profile with the public. These events also showcase the Club’s spaces, production capabilities, and hospitality, serving as a powerful demonstration of what the National Press Club offers as a premier event venue.
We are grateful for the time, expertise, and dedication that members have contributed to this program, and we look forward to its continued growth.
