Meet Beth Francesco, executive director, National Press Club Journalism Institute.
How long have you worked at the National Press Club? Five years on August 5 this year!
Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you: I grow really hot peppers - ghost, habanero, Carolina reaper - along with serranos and jalapeños in my rooftop garden.
If you became an A-list celebrity what is one thing you would ask for in your green room?: Topo Chico w/lime in a chilled glass.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?: "Never settle." I've found it to be a guiding principle personally and professionally. Thanks, Mom!
What is your favorite thing about your job/working at the National Press Club: I love the "ah-ha moment" - the look when a new skill or way to do something clicks for someone. I'm so fortunate to experience MANY "ah-ha moments" in my work with the Institute through our training and career sessions. How lucky am I to get to do what I love: empowering people to their careers.
