Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of "Club Rewind" at Photo Committee meeting, noon July 25

Vija Udenans, director of the National Press Club Broadcast Operations Center, will give a behind-the-scenes look at how the "Press Club Rewind"--the weekly video review of Club events--is produced at the next meeting of the Club's Photography Committee at noon, Wednesday, July 25, in the McClendon Room.

All Club members and their guests are welcome; however, space is limited. No reservations are necessary.

After her luncheon talk, Udenans will conduct a tour of the Club's Broadcast Operations Center (BOC), located on the fourth floor of the National Press Building. The BOC is a digital broadcast facility complete with studios, edit bay, control rooms, master control, green rooms and other support.

Udenans leads the BOC team, who shoot, edit, transmit and post video of events at the Club and other locations for clients, including broadcasters, governments, corporations and public relations firms that serve them.

Udenans, whose career at ABC spanned more than 20 years, was ABC's White House producer from 1994-2007. She was also a Washington-based producer for "World News Tonight" and "Good Morning America."

Earlier in her career, Udenans was director of broadcast operations for the ABC News Washington bureau. Udenans received the Peabody Award and the Dupont-Columbia Award, both for coverage of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Udenans is a member of the White House Correspondents Association, Radio/Television Correspondents Association, American Women in Radio and Television and other professional organizations. She is a graduate of Michigan State University.
