Freelancers Team has virtual monthly meeting Thursday, social in person next week

The National Press Club Freelancers Team's monthly meetings via Zoom offer freelancers a chance to talk shop, meet editors and hear from experts to help strengthen their business efforts. On Thursday, July 17, at 12 p.m., the group continues a discussion on the opportunities of publishing in university alumni magazines. Joining the talk will be top editors from three of the best: Brown University, the University of Connecticut and Johns Hopkins University. They'll talk about how their magazines are made, what they're looking for in a freelancer, and they'll hear honed pitches from the group. For more information on the meetings, contact Danny Freedman at [email protected].

Then for a more tangible experience, grab a drink on Friday night, July 25, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Truman Lounge, and chat in person with fellow Club member freelancers about challenges and opportunities to cover interesting topics. Reserve for that social here.
