First Women's Salon Night at Club Wednesday: Buy your own dinner, bring the conversation

Women's Salon

The National Press Club is debuting a Women's Salon Night on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 6 p.m. in the Reliable Source's Cosgrove Lounge.

This is a self-funded dinner. Members do not need to register online and should directly contact the Reliable Source via phone (202-662-7443) or email [email protected] to make their reservation. When contacting the Reliable Source, members should indicate that their reservation is for the Women's Salon on Feb. 26. Members are welcome to invite their guests and should let the Reliable Source know how many people are in their party when making their reservation.

This event is only open to those who identify as women.

The Club will feature the Salon cocktail of the evening: the Viv Rickey, in honor of (and with special approval from) the first female Club president, Vivian Vahlberg, whose husband's name is Rick, so it's a perfect pairing!

Historically, in many cultures, women have hosted Salon Nights to talk about the bigger questions of the day. These philosophical and intellectual conversations have fostered communities, ideas, epiphanies, partnerships and so much more. At this Salon, we plan to discuss topics ranging from art and creativity to community building to the future of journalism and communications.
