Entries for Members' Photo Exhibit Due Aug. 20; Full Rules Here

Entries are due by Friday, Aug. 20, for the 11th annual NPC Members' Photography Exhibition. Entries may be submitted beginning Monday, Aug. 9.

The exhibit, sponsored by the Photography Committee, is open to all NPC members and is not juried. Photos will be on display through September.

Club members may submit up to four photos. The maximum size of prints and mat is 11" x 14." Prints must be securely mounted and matted.

Rules:

  • Photos must be taken by NPC members and not displayed in previous NPC Photo Committee exhibitions.

  • Each member may submit up to four photos. The maximum overall size (prints and mat) for each photo is 11" x 14".

  • Prints must be securely mounted on sturdy mounting board. If matting is used, it must be securely attached.

  • No glass or frames are permitted.

  • Due to space limitations, all titles and descriptions must be put on the front of the mat/photo.

  • The photographer's name, email address and phone number must be on the back of each photo.

  • You must rank order your photos on the back with #1 for your favorite photo down to #4 in case there is not enough space to hang all photos on the display boards.

  • There is no restriction, within reason, on subject matter.

  • Prints may be color, black and white, or hand-painted.

  • You may sign and title each print on the front of the mat/photo.

  • Photos are due between Monday, Aug. 9, and Friday, Aug. 20, in the Membership Office. There will be a sign-in sheet. You need to register your photos with contact information, including your NPC membership number.

  • You must pick up your photos between Sept. 30 and Oct. 8 from the NPC Membership Office. Neither the National Press Club nor any of the Photo Committee volunteers are responsible for returning your photos. Storage space is not available at the Press Club for members' photos.

Note: If you are a non-resident member or if you will be out of town on Sept. 30 when photos will be taken down, you must include a pre-paid, self-addressed, FedEx return envelope or box with your photos when you submit them. The NPC Membership Office does not have the budget to return your photos.
The NPC and the committee volunteers cannot take responsibility for any damage to or theft of a photo.
