Enter NPC photo contest, win chance for $100 Fourth Estate gift certificate

Grab your camera, take some great photos that will impress your family, friends, colleagues and Club visitors -- and then enter them in the 13th Annual NPC Members' Photography Exhibition.

Each member who submits photos will be automatically entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to the Club's Fourth Estate restaurant. The drawing will be held at the Members' Photo Exhibit reception on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Club's lobby and Library classroom. The winner of the drawing must be present to win.

Photo entries are due by Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, and may be submitted beginning Monday, Aug. 6, to the NPC Membership Office. There will be a sign-in sheet. You will need to register your photos with contact information, including your NPC membership number.

The exhibition, sponsored by the Club's Photography Committee, is open to all NPC members and will be held during the entire month of September.

All Club members are encouraged to submit up to four of their best shots, which will be displayed in the Club's lobby. Each photo may not exceed 11" x 14", and prints must be securely mounted and matted. Complete rules are listed below. It is important to note that this is a photo exhibition and not a contest.

Photo submission Rules:

- Photos must be taken by NPC members only and not displayed in previous NPC Photo Committee exhibitions.

- Each member may display up to four photos. The maximum overall size (print and mat) for each photo is 11" x 14".

- Prints must be securely mounted on sturdy mounting board. If matting is used, it must be securely attached.

- No glass or frames are permitted.

- Due to space limitations, all titles and descriptions must be put on the front of the mat/photo and not submitted separately.

- Your name, email address, and phone number must be on the back of each photo.

- You must rank order your photos on the back with #1 for your favorite photo down to #4, in case there is not enough space to hang all your photos on the display boards.

- There is no restriction, within reason, on subject matter. Prints may be color, black and white, or hand-painted photos.

- You may sign and title each print on the front of the mat/photo.

If you are a nonresident member, or if you will be out of town on Sept. 28 when photos will be taken down, you must include a prepaid, self-addressed, FedEx return envelope or box with your photos when you submit them. The NPC Membership Office does not have the budget to return your photos. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
