Calling all photographers, from professional storytellers to smartphone snappers: The National Press Club Photo Team reminds members that Friday is the deadline to take part in the  annual photography exhibit in September. 

In keeping with the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration, the theme of this year’s exhibit is life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. While  photos that fit this topic are encouraged, it’s not required.  All entries are welcome. 

Each member can submit up to five images that stand out aesthetically and technically. Entries can be work-related or purely personal, and not shown in previous annual photo exhibits. Click Here for submission details.

This monthlong celebration of visual storytelling, now in its 27th year, presents a digital gallery of member-captured images that appear in continuous slideshows on four large-screen monitors in the lobby. Each year, the exhibit draws a crowd of participants – at least 50 each year – and viewers, who sometimes crowd the lobby to get a glimpse of the work.

Whether you shoot in color or black-and-white, with a DSLR or a phone, the team wants to see the images you consider unforgettable.

This is an exhibit, not a contest. There are no judges, trophies, or pressure. Just a chance to share your work with fellow members and showcase the stories you’ve captured through your lens.
