The 24th annual celebration of visual storytelling is an exhibit, not a contest. No judges evaluate participants' work, nor are any prizes awarded. Club members can enter up to four digital images and two print photos for the show. Digital images are displayed on big screen monitors in continuous slideshows, along with print photos mounted on fabric display panels, starting Aug. 31. An online exhibit catalog presents images and photos entered by each participant.
Deadline: Members photo exhibit entry period ends Aug. 18
National Press Club members must submit their digital images and print photos by Friday, Aug. 18 to participate in the Club's 24th annual photo exhibit.
Full instructions and specifications, plus a streamlined entry form are available online.
This year, we're honoring Ukrainian news photographer Maks Levin, captured and reportedly executed by Russian troops last March. The exhibit ends Friday, Sept. 29. The response so far, both in numbers and image quality, is astounding. For example, the collection this year has photos of Jan. 6, 2021 and its aftermath never seen before, shot by Capitol Hill resident Celeste McCall. Plus, Ben Sarao shows us moving images from the 20th anniversary of 9/11 in New York, and Noel-Marie Fletcher displays mesmerizing abstract image art in photos of everyday scenes. The official opening reception takes place on Wednesday, Sept 6 at 6:30 pm. Watch for details soon.
