The countdown to NPC's September photo exhibit starts now

Calling all club photographers, from seasoned pros to enthusiastic point-and-shooters: the National Press Club Photo Team wants you in our annual photography exhibit coming this September.

This year, we're marking the nation's 250th birthday with a theme inspired by the moment: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Have a shot that fits the theme? Great. Don't have one? That's also great. All entries are welcome, theme-related or not.

Submit your entry between July 31 and August 15 using our online form. To ensure that your image makes it into the exhibit, please note our rules on size, generative AI, and formatting. Full instructions can be found here.

Now in its 27th year, our month-long showcase turns the Club lobby into a gallery of member photography streaming across four big screens for everyone to see. And people do stop to look. Every year, the exhibit draws 50+ participating members and plenty of admirers gathering around the monitors.

The details:

  • Submit up to five images — your best, most unforgettable shots.
  • Color or black-and-white, DSLR or smartphone, all are welcome.
  • Work-related or personal, whatever moves you.
  • Please keep it new. Submit only images not shown in previous exhibits.
  • No judges, no rankings, no prizes, just your work, on display, for your fellow members and others to enjoy

So it’s time to dust off that photo archive — your best shot deserves the big screen. Questions? Photo Team Chair Alan Kotok, [email protected], is available to answer them.
