Cocktails and Conversations: Sports Edition tips off 6 pm tonight

On Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the Cosgrove Lounge, the National Press Club Events Team presents Cocktails and Conversations: Sports Edition. The team promises an exciting gathering that will combine two elements that many people enjoy: sports and engaging conversation. Facilitating the conversations will be Club member Candi Waller, also known as CWall, president of Bowie Television and a sports journalist and commentator on community news stations and websites in the Washington, D.C., region and beyond.

Free for Club members, and registration is required. Conversations start at 6 p.m.

Attendees can expect to engage fireside chat-style with Waller and discuss topics such as any big games coming up on the schedules of all of the D.C. area teams, notable achievements by athletes on the teams, and even debate popular local sports topics, such as how the new ownership of the Washington Commanders is performing and the prospects for the future success of the football franchise.

So whether you are a sports journalist, a fan or simply an individual who enjoys the thrill of the game, this evening gathering will offer a platform for Club members to engage in friendly discussions and network over cocktails and small bites.
