Club Team Leaders establish community habits for 2025

The National Press Club’s Team leaders — selected each year by the new Club president — for 2025 gathered on Wednesday, Feb. 26, for a retreat focused on building community and strengthening engagement. These dedicated volunteers lead the Club’s teams, helping to foster connection and opportunities for members.

During the retreat, Team leaders worked together to establish a set of community habits that will guide them and their teams throughout the year. Here's what they agreed:

  • We will respect and amplify NPC members' expertise.
  • We will maintain clear and consistent communication with members.
  • We will come together to amplify our impact for members.
  • We will promptly and directly address any issues.
  • We will establish norms to build trust among members.
  • We will model strong standards and ethics for members.

By committing to these habits, Team leaders aim to ensure that Club teams remain inclusive, welcoming and effective — creating a positive experience for both longtime members and newcomers alike.
