Club to screen documentary, host talk with celebrated Indian broadcast journalist Ravish Kumar, tomorrow

while we watchedThe National Press Club will host a screening on Tuesday, Oct. 3, of the documentary film "While We Watched'," a turbulent newsroom drama intimately chronicling the working days of Indian broadcast journalist Ravish Kumar as he navigates a spiraling world of truth and disinformation in India and beyond. 
 
The screening will occur at 6:30 p.m. in the Ballroom. Following the screening, Kumar will join  a moderated conversation reflecting on the documentary.
 
The program is free for National Press Club members and $15 for members of the general public. Register online.
 
Ravish Kumar is an Indian journalist, author and media personality. Until recently, he was the senior executive editor of NDTV India, hosting a number of programs including the channel's flagship weekday show Prime Time. In 2019, Kumar received what some consider the Nobel prize of Asia, the Ramon Magsaysay award.
 
The conversation with him will be moderated by Anurima Bhargava. She is the founder and director of Anthem of Us, a strategic advisory and consulting firm that centers dignity, justice, and belonging in workplaces, schools, and communities. Bhargava’s commitment to advancing dignity and justice through narrative and storytelling led her to produce and advise numerous documentary films and projects, including "While We Watched."
