Clinton advisor to speak April 3 at Club's 'Social Media 4 Social Good' series

Alec Ross, senior advisor for innovation to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, will be the featured guest in the second installment of the National Press Club’s “Social Media 4 Social Good” series on Tuesday, April 3 at 7 p.m..

Ross was named in 2010 as one of 50 Politicos to Watch by Politico, which described her as one of “five people who are bringing transformative change to the government.” Foreign Policy magazine also named Ross a Top Global Thinker in 2011.

At the U.S. State Department, Ross leverages new media in innovative ways to address international human rights violations, poverty and diplomacy. According to Ross, “If Paul Revere had been a modern citizen, he wouldn’t have ridden down Main Street. He would have tweeted.”

The “Social Media 4 Social Good” series highlights the strategists and entrepreneurs who are using social media to make positive contributions to the world. The series is sponsored by the Young Members Committee and is hosted by Monica Gray.

Tickets to this National Press Club event are free for members and $10 for non-members.
