Cheer on Press Club Big Blue softball team at the playoffs July 9 at Cabin John park

After winning one game outright and winning a second by forfeit, the National Press Club's Big Blue co-ed softball team on June 25 earned a #6 seed in the Metropolitan Media Softball League championship round July 9-10 at Cabin John Regional Park in Bethesda.

In so doing, the team continued its consecutive playoffs appearance streak, making it 13 years that the team has made the postseason.

The team will play to get the three wins it needs Saturday, July 9, for a chance at the #1 finish on Sunday, July 10. First game is against the #3 seed NPR at 9 a.m. on Field 5.

UPDATE July 8: With rain in the forecast for Friday, July 8, be sure to check this site for field conditions on Saturday before heading out. If games are cancelled on Saturday, they move, on the same schedule as for Saturday, to Sunday, July 10, and the games now set to be played Sunday for the winners' round will be played the following weekend.
