Center on Global Energy Policy invites Press Club members to apply for its 2023 Energy Journalism Fellows program

Bill Loveless, a longtime member of the National Press Club and director of the Energy Journalism Initiative at Columbia University's Center on Global Energy Policy, invites Club members to apply for the 2023 Energy Journalism Fellows program, which will be held in New York City June 20-23. Applications are available here.

Taught by CGEP scholars, Columbia faculty, and other academic, industry and government experts, EJF offers journalists the opportunity to learn about the intersecting disciplines shaping the global energy sector, including finance and markets, climate change, science and technology, policy and geopolitics. 

The program is open to journalists covering energy, climate and the environment, with preference given to journalists with five or fewer years of experience on the beat. This program is free to journalists, including transportation and lodging for those who need it. EJF Columbia UniversityThe 2023 seminar is expected to be hosted in person, with presentations and opportunities for small group discussion and networking. To promote an educational experience, the Chatham House Rule will apply.

Since its inception in 2017, EJF (formerly known as the Energy Journalism Initiative) has enrolled 120 journalists from the U.S. and around the world.
