Buzz Aldrin, legendary space statesman, to discuss new book on Mars May 10

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin - the second man on the moon – and Leonard David will discuss and sign copies of their new book “Mission to Mars: My Vision for Space Exploration” at the National Press Club on May 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Ballroom.

The book plots out Aldrin and David’s proposed path for space exploration, taking humans to Mars by 2035.

Registration is required at www.press.org/events/aldrin. This event is sure to sell-out; register early! Tickets are free for NPC members; $5 public. Limit one ticket at the member rate per NPC member.

Proceeds benefit the non-profit National Press Club Journalism Institute. The authors will only sign copies purchased through the NPC. Absolutely no memorabilia or outside books will be permitted. Additional signing guidelines are listed on the registration page.

Aldrin, best known for his Apollo 11 moonwalk, holds a doctorate degree in astronautics and, at the age of 82, continues to wield influence as an international advocate of space science and planetary exploration.
