Books & Brunch plans to discuss 'The Uncommon Reader' at June 21 virtual meeting

The National Press Club Books & Brunch group plans to meet virtually at noon Saturday, June 21, to discuss The Uncommon Reader, a novel by Alan Bennett. 

Called "a delicious and very funny what-if" in a New York Times book review, Bennett's fairy tale imagines what happens when Britain's Queen Elizabeth II's corgis stray into a bookmobile and the she feels compelled to borrow a book.

Planning ahead?  Books & Brunch plans to discuss My Russia: What I Saw Inside The Kremlin by Jill Dougherty at its meeting via Zoom at noon on Saturday, July 19. The author is expected to join in the discussion.
