Books & Brunch to discuss Geraldine Brooks' 'Horse: A Novel,' Oct. 21

Books & Brunch will meet via Zoom at noon Saturday, Oct. 21, to discuss "Horse: A Novel" by Pulitzer Prize winner Geraldine Brooks.

"Horse: A Novel" connects five different characters and a thoroughbred horse, weaving together a story that spans three eras of American history to reckon with American injustices. “Horse isn’t just an animal story—it’s a moving narrative about race and art," Time magazine noted in its review.

To RSVP and receive a Zoom link, please email Fay Iudicello at [email protected] by Thursday, Oct. 19. Those who RSVP should expect to receive the invitation at 9 a.m. on Oct. 21.

Want to get a head start on the November book? Books & Brunch will discuss "Making a Difference: My Fight For Native Rights And Social Justice" by Ada Deer and Theda Perdue on Saturday, Nov. 18 via Zoom. The book recounts Ada Deer's fight to reverse the forced termination of the Menominee tribe and ensure sovereignty and self determination for all tribes.
