Books & Brunch to discuss "Every Man in this Village is a Liar" Sat. Feb. 26, noon

Books & Brunch will meet at noon on Saturday, Feb. 25 in the NPC's Fourth Estate restaurant to discuss "Every Man in This Village Is a Liar: An Education in War."

The discussion is open to all National Press Club members but RSVP is required to [email protected].

Please note this is a change in a previously announced date as the Club is closed Feb. 18 for Presidents' Day weekend.

Can't make it this time? Start reading our March fiction selection by celebrated author Alexander McCall Smith: "Portuguese Irregular Verbs," and "44 Scotland Street."

"Portugese Irregular Verbs" is a short, comic novel and the first of McCall Smith's "Professor Dr. von Igelfeld" novels about a German professor of Romance Languages. It was first published in 2003.

McCall Smith also wrote the 44 Scotland Street series and "44 Scotland Street" is the first book in the series.

Both books are available in paperback and Kindle editions. The fiction discussion will be held March 17.
