Baltic foreign ministers to speak at Headliners Newsmaker, today 4 p.m.

Foreign ministers from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will speak Thursday afternoon, Feb. 6, at a National Press Club Headliners Newsmaker event on the latest news and events happening in the Baltic region including its recent actions to disconnect from the Russian electricity grid, a major move in achieving energy independence.

The Baltic states’ foreign ministers Baiba Braže (Latvia), Kęstutis Budrys (Lithuania) and Margus Tsahkna (Estonia) will also address questions on the ongoing malign hybrid activities in Europe, support to Ukraine as it continues to fight off Russia’s invasion (soon entering the fourth year of sustained conflict), preventing the spread of Russia’s advances further into Europe and the countries’ growing investments in defense. 

The event is from 4 p.m to 5 p.m.. in the Zenger Room. The event is open to National Press Club members and credentialed members of the press. Click here to register.
