AP’s Corinne Chin announced as first guest speaker for NPCJI’s 2026 career office hours
Corinne Chin, director of news talent for recruiting at The Associated Press, will join the National Press Club Journalism Institute at noon ET on Tuesday, Feb. 3 as the first guest speaker for its 2026 Career Office Hours series.
Chin is responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting a diverse and competitive global newsroom at AP. She's also an Emmy-winning video journalist who's worked across the globe and offers trauma-informed safety and security training.
Chin will describe what makes a strong applicant for wire services like AP and will answer questions about visual journalism, representation, leadership, journalism careers and safety.
Throughout the year, the Institute will host career-focused virtual meetings for jobseekers, those interested in networking, and media professionals hoping to boost their job-search skills on the first Tuesday of the month.
Topics will explore journalism careers on different beats, social media and engagement careers, communications and marketing opportunities, and more. The hour-long sessions will take place via Zoom and will offer community, encouragement, and practical advice for job-seekers at all career levels.
Members can register for the Feb. 3 session here. If you have questions or would like to suggest a recruiter or hiring manager for future sessions, please contact NPCJI Training Manager Elliot Williams.
